Final Outcome

Final Outcome - ‘Sequential Story Telling’
(Three photographs above) These three photographs were the final outcome of the sequential storytelling project. I wanted to create a coat for the homeless focusing on practicality and comfort. I also wanted to create a sustainable garment so I used an old sleeping bag as it is waterproof and insulated, my aim being that the coat could be worn as a coat or be used as a sleeping bag.
(Pictures below) - Two double sketchbook pages documenting the process of making the coat and below are pictures of the finishes the lining , hems and cuffs

Development - ‘The Body as Identity’

These three photographs were taken as an experiment. Influenced by the work of Charles Jeffery and Tim Walker and research into toxic masculinity. I wanted to explore the male figure using a range of fabrics to play with silhouettes, draping, texture and volume and project my sketches of different body parts on to them. I found it interesting to see how each look presents masculinity differently .
